New tourist map for Bo’ness and Blackness

A NEW push to attract tourists to Bo’ness got underway this week.

Bo’net – which represents dozens of groups in the town – updated and republished its free map and guide to attractions in the area. Copies will be available from local libraries and other outlets in the district.

Falkirk Council part-funded the 5,000 colour copies. Bo’net has also received support from the charity the Coalfields Regeneration Trust.

Falkirk area named “best walking area”

The Falkirk area has been named “Britain’s Best Walking Area”. The Helix Park – a short drive from Nether Kinneil – offers a range of walking and cycling routes, as well as the stunning Kelpies.

Closer to home, the national walking/cycling route No 76 runs right past Nether Kinneil Farmhouse.
